FCC grants more than $20 million for broadband expansion in Missouri

The Federal Communications Commission has granted two Missouri electric cooperatives more than $24 million to expand broadband to rural areas.

Co-Mo Comm and Callabyte Technology will be able to deploy gigabite connections to a combined total of 9,835 rural locations in the state.

The FCC authorized almost $167 million in funds country-wide to contribute to broadband almost 61,000 homes and businesses over the next decade.
