A Kansas man is heading to federal prison for the next 30 years, after admitting he solicited pornographic images from two Boone County child victims.
Federal prosecutors say 30-year-old Kyle Gibler of Lawrence will also be required to register as a sex offender upon release. Gibler admits receiving pornographic photos of an 11-year-old victim and a two-year victim. Federal prosecutors say Gibler solicited the photos while communicating with the 11-year-old on a dating website.
Federal prosecutors say Gibler has been engaged in online activity involving the sexual exploitation of minors since at least 2015. Authorities say they found thousands of files depicting child pornography on Gibler’s electronic devices.
