FEMA agrees to consider disaster aid for more counties

FEMA is looking at Missouri’s request to make more counties eligible for disaster aid.

President Trump’s declaration this month opened the door for people in Boone, Cole, and other counties to get federal help recovering from recent flooding and the May tornado. The state wants that disaster declaration expanded to counties like Callaway, Cooper, and Howard.

The declaration allows for federal aid like temporary housing, home repairs, and help paying for uninsured property damage.
