Fight leads to north Columbia shooting

A fight led to an early morning shooting in north Columbia on Tuesday.

Police say a man told them he gave two people a ride near High Quest Circle and Derby Ridge a little before 3 a.m. A fight started in the car, the driver lost control of his gun, and one of the passengers shot him. He has non-life threatening injuries.

The two passengers ran off. No arrests reported yet.
