A Hallsville family will have to stay somewhere else for a while after a fire.
It started on Sunday afternoon in a shed on Hudson Avenue. A girl in the nearby house apparently woke up to fire around her bedroom window.
The mother, father, and three children inside got out ok. A cat died in the fire. The Red Cross is helping the family.
The house has serious heat, fire, and smoke damage. No word yet on what caused it.
