Everyone is okay after an early morning Jefferson City fire.
Fire crews were called out to the home on Eastland Drive near East Miller at about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Smoke detectors woke up the people inside and they got out safely. The fire apparently started in the basement. It took 45 minutes to put out.
No word yet on how the fire started.
