Fire damages utility vehicles

Eight to 10 utility vehicles were lost to a fire Saturday at the Head Motor Company. That’s on Freedom Drive east of Columbia, just north on Interstate-70. Columbia Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer was driving on I-70 about 5:30 p.m. and called in the fire. Firefighters were able to limit damage from reaching other vehicles and to a nearby building. No injuries were reported. Investigators are looking into the cause.
