Fire does $20k damage at Columbia apartments

Fire does $20,000 dollars in damage at a Columbia apartment complex.

Investigators say it started at about 2 a.m. Sunday at Tiger Village Apartments near Stadium Blvd. and Worley.

No one was hurt. A third floor balcony and walkway have some damage, so a few residents will have to stay somewhere else for a while.

The fire may have started with smoking materials not thrown away properly, according to investigators.
