First Responder Support fundraiser dinner is Thursday

Thursday night’s dinner and dance to raise money for first responders throughout Boone County is a sellout.

First Responder Support (FRS) is a new organization that provides relief and support to police officers, firefighters, and other first responders.

Anxiety and Depression Clinic of Columbia owner Jared Torbet is an FRS advisory panel board member.

“One of FRS’ areas of focus will be providing relief to first responders and their families,” said Torbet. “We plan to do this by helping first responders and their families get better access to specific therapies geared towards the unique mental and relationship struggles that our first responders face.”

About three hundred people are expected to attend the dinner at the Atrium in downtown Columbia.
