Fitzwater points finger at Democrats over Capitol vaccine controversy

“There were a bunch of legislators and staffers, mainly in the House Democrats, that jumped in line for vaccines that were meant for people in the tiers that really needed them,” Callaway County Republican state representative Travis Fitzwater says.

He says the move cheated older people and first responders out of a vaccine that is in short supply.

Fitzwater also voted against a pay raise for lawmakers and state officials, which was locked in on Monday.
