(AUDIO) Five arrested after church vandalism in Callaway County

The Callaway County Sheriff said Monday five local teenagers have been arrested and accused of vandalizing a church.

Deputies arrested Bradyn Holzhauser, 18, Matthew Myers, 17, Dylan Smith, 17, and two 16-year old juveniles on Friday. All five people are facing charges of burglary and property damage. Investigators say they allegedly smashed windows and damaged the interior of Oakley Chapel (African Methodist Episcopal Church) in Tebbetts, Mo., just east of Jefferson City.

The historically-Black church is 143 years old, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
