Flood warnings continue Monday

Flood warnings continue along the Missouri River on Monday.

Forecasters expected to see the river crest in spots like Jefferson City. If it goes beyond 25.2 feet there as expected, we could see a breech of the levee protecting the small Boone County town of McBaine.

Glasgow is also seeing moderate flooding on the Missouri River (about 30 feet), with minor flooding near Boonville.

The Associated Press reports heavy rains and snowmelt northwest of us are causing historic flooding in Nebraska and Iowa, and it’s flowing downstream to us. At least one person has died in each of those states. Interstate 29 is closed near the Missouri-Iowa border. There are no Amtrak Missouri River Runner trains on Monday.
