The floodgates opened at Bagnell Dam on Tuesday night, and may stay open for several weeks.
A flood warning went out along the Osage River, as Ameren Missouri increased the flow on Wednesday morning. It should help bring down Lake of the Ozarks water levels.
The Missouri River in Jefferson City was at about 31 feet as of midday Friday, and was forecast to stay above major flood stage until Friday.
