Flooding in Jeff City a good possibility through spring

Will you end up having to find another route to work because of the flooding this spring?

Cole County Public Works Director Larry Benz says it’s a throw of the dice.

“With Missouri especially, you can see high water levels [even] if there might not be any rainfall in our area.”

Benz says, even though the North Jefferson City levee can hold back 30 feet of floodwater, lower crests can still flood areas on the south side of the river.
