Former Boone County commissioner Parry wants Columbia’s Katy station preserved

A former Boone County commissioner wants to see the historic Katy Station in downtown Columbia saved from demolition.

Businessman Fred Parry, who hosts 939 the Eagle’s “CEO Roundtable”, tells our news partner ABC-17 that mid-Missouri towns like Fulton and Fayette have preserved history in their communities.

Downtown Columbia’s Shiloh Bar and Grill at Fourth and Broadway has announced on Facebook that this will be its last football season. Shiloh owner Nic Parks says Shiloh will close in December, saying it’s tied to the landlord’s plans to sell the property.

Mr. Parks purchased Shiloh in 2021.
