Former courthouse worker pleads guilty to selling guns to convicted felons

A former Jefferson City courthouse worker pleaded guilty Tuesday to illegally selling firearms to convicted felons.

40-year-old Victor Vargas used to be the custodial supervisor at the Christopher S. Bond Courthouse.

The Jefferson City man admitted to selling a combined 16 guns to two different people who he knew were convicted felons.

Vargas could face as many as 10 years in federal prison.
