A former governor who also represented Columbia and Boone County in the Missouri Senate for years is treasurer for the committee supporting Proposition L for a new jail in Boone County.

Former Governor Roger Wilson is the treasurer of Prop L supporters.

Voters in Columbia/Boone County will cast ballots next week on Proposition One, which calls for adding three-eighths-of a cent to the county’s current one-eighth cent law enforcement sales tax to fund a new county jail.
