Former Mizzou professor loses appeal against university

A former Mizzou professor has lost his latest appeal in a legal battle against the university.

The Daily Tribune reports a state appeals court said Tuesday that Galen Suppes did violate the school’s intellectual property rights, and should pay $600,000.

The university sued its former engineering professor in 2009. MU claimed it was damaged when he tried to take credit for inventions made by him while working for the school, and violated his contract.
