Thousands of people looking to get their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine will have to wait a little more.
The mass vaccination event scheduled Friday at Faurot Field for those getting round one of the Moderna shot is postponed, because of weather-related shipping delays. Folks getting the second Pfizer shot can still do that as planned. Get more info on the schedule changes here.
The Boone County Health Department’s shipment of 200 Moderna shots this week was delayed too. Truman VA was one of the places that was able to administer shots this week, vaccinating 379 veterans during a walk-in clinic on Wednesday.
