A delivery driver at Fulton’s Domino’s remains jailed without bond after allegedly hitting a man with his vehicle last week after an argument involving a tip. Callaway County prosecutors have charged Zachary Walton of Auxvasse with first degree assault, leaving the scene of an accident and armed criminal action.

The Fulton Police Department’s probable cause statement indicates Walton was upset about not receiving a tip, before a verbal altercation happened. Court documents say video footage from the residence shows that the delivery driver started the confrontation by yelling profanities at two people, before Walton hit the man with his vehicle.

The probable cause statement quotes Walton as admitting he drove toward the man and did so to scare him. Court documents say the victim suffered visible hand injuries and had to jump onto the vehicle’s hood to avoid further injury.

Walton is scheduled to appear in Callaway County Circuit Court Wednesday morning for a bond appearance hearing before Judge Christopher Wilson.
