Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway announced on social media early Monday that she will run for governor.

Galloway is a Boone County Democrat, who has served as Missouri Auditor since she was appointed to the position following the death of Tom Schweich. She was elected back to the post in November 2018, and is now the only Democrat holding statewide office in Missouri.
She will probably be the main challenger for Republican incumbent governor Mike Parson.
