
Outgoing Columbia city manager John Glascock will be retiring one week from today (January 14).
He’ll be Fred Parry’s guest Saturday morning at 7 on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Columbia.” Mr. Glascock will be outlining accomplishments he’s proud of, the biggest challenges facing Columbia and the April use tax ballot measure. He’ll also update listeners about the I-70 Rocheport bridge project.
Columbia’ will have its first African-American city manager in history, in mid-January. The city council unanimously announced the selection of deputy city manager De’Carlon Seewood before Christmas.
