The sister of the woman who was brutally murdered last week at a motel on Columbia’s Range Line has established a GoFundMe to help the family pay for funeral and cremation costs.

Boone County prosecutors say 37-year-old Destiny Dunn of Kansas City was beaten to death by 35-year-old Nicholas Ayres of Crane, who is charged with second degree murder and felony domestic assault.

The GoFundMe describes Destiny Dunn as a loving, nurturing and sweet person and that she leaves children behind who now have to face life without their mother. The GoFundMe has raised more than $1,900 and supporters hope to raise another $8,000.
