Gov. Mike Parson announced Thursday a mass vaccination event is coming to the house of the Kansas City Chiefs.
More than 6,000 people will get their coronavirus shots at Arrowhead Stadium next Friday and Saturday. People already signed up through Jackson County’s online enrollment will be selected to receive the shot.
“We expect to be able to administer 3,000 Johnson & Johnson vaccines each day, but this could increase if the state receives additional shipments of the J&J vaccine,” said Parson.
Parson said that if supply increases even more, they could activate Phase 2 of the distribution plan in a few weeks. Phase 1-B Tier 3, which includes teachers and other critical infrastructure workers, will be active starting Monday.
