Gov. Mike Parson says Missouri’s hospitals are not overwhelmed despite a spike in patients being admitted for COVID-19.
“Of Missouri’s 22,000 total hospital beds, 49 percent – nearly half – are still available,” said Parson.
As of Friday morning, the state’s dashboard reports 1,490 COVID-19 patients are in Missouri hospitals. The state is averaging 1,841 daily coronavirus cases over the last seven days, one of the highest rates during the pandemic.
