JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens appears to be following President Donald Trump’s playbook in denouncing accusations of unwanted sexual aggression.
But the reaction of Republicans indicates Greitens may have more difficulty surviving than Trump.
Allegations about Trump’s behavior were known before his election, but Greitens has cultivated a campaign persona of an all-American hero.
A woman with whom Greitens had an affair says he slapped, grabbed, shoved and threatened her during sexual encounters.
