Columbia celebrates the groundbreaking for its new middle school on Sinclair Road at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. So what’s next for the growing district?
Superintendent Peter Stiepleman says on Wake Up Columbia he met with local developers and real estate agents this week about where growth is happening in town.
“We don’t want to just do what could be considered an autopsy report of where growth has been.”
Stiepleman said the district is also looking at buying land in advance, even before the funding for a building is approved, in areas where the town is growing.
