Hearing for Columbia murder suspect scheduled for Thursday

Javion Lawhorn-Wallace had a hearing scheduled for Thursday morning.

The 30-year-old is charged with second degree murder, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal action in the death of Nadria Wright in central Columbia last September.

Court documents say Lawhorn-Wallace and Sam Baldwin IV were feuding with each other last fall. Someone allegedly shot a gun from Lawhorn-Wallace’s car into a car containing Baldwin and Wright. The 18-year-old Wright died. Baldwin is recovering from serious injuries, and as of Dec. 31 was in Boone County Jail with Lawhorn-Wallace.
