Hearing scheduled in connection to deadly downtown shooting

The guy connected to the downtown Columbia shooting death of a Sturgeon man last summer was scheduled to be in court on Monday afternoon. Marlin Johnson, 24, is accused of second degree murder and more.

Kesan McNeal pleaded guilty last week to a lesser charge of hindering prosecution. He will be sentenced in June.

Joseph Hecht, 38, was shot and killed near Eighth and Locust streets last July.
