Flooding has closed at least 11 roads in Cole County. The Public Works Department says those include Zion, Buffalo and Campbell roads.
The state Department of Transportation (MoDOT) had to close a stretch of nearby Highway 94 due to flooding.
Columbia has also received heavy rain in the past two weeks. Another inch fell Thursday at Mizzou’s Sanborn field. The ground has been saturated. Columbia received 5.65 inches of rain in April, eight-tenths of an inch above normal for the month, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis.
