Be prepared to see the traffic back at Helias Catholic School very soon.
Helias Principal Kenya Fuemmeler said they’ll start five-day a week in-person classes on Aug. 19. But she added that could all change if Jefferson City sees a jump in coronavirus cases.
“[Our] eight-period day is going to allow us the flexibility to go to a block schedule. That would limit passing periods and contacts, but also allow us to have students come every other day for a while,” said Fuemmeler.
Helias teachers will also have an extra ten days of sick leave to deal with staff who test positive for the virus.
