Missouri reports more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases for the fifth straight day.
There were 1,357 positives reported on Saturday, and 1,218 on Sunday. That is down from the record-setting case numbers late last week. Nineteen COVID-19 deaths were added over the weekend statewide.
Boone County reported 35 cases Saturday, but added a below-average 15 positives on Sunday. The percentage of positives on virus tests went up last week from 6.2% to 7.2%.
Cooper County added 10 new cases on Sunday. The county health department’s lobby will be locked this week after a staffer tested positive.
