High school football championships moving to Jefferson City

MSHSAA announced on Tuesday it is moving the 11-man state high school football championships from Columbia to Jefferson City.

Jefferson City High School, Helias, and Blair Oaks will host the games. It is not clear where the 8-man football championship will be played.

MSHSAA pointed to a conflict at Faurot Field the weekend of the state title matchups as the reason for the change.
