Highway 15 expected to reopen Thursday

Highway 15 in Audrain County will reopen Thursday, four days after a natural gas pipeline exploded in the area.

ABC 17 News reports the speed on the highway has been reduced to 35 MPH to make travel in the area more manageable. Temporary repairs have been made.

MoDot says about 600 feet of the road’s surface was significantly damaged after a gas line exploded early Sunday morning.

MoDOT is working with the pipeline and a contractor to make permanent repairs to the roadway once weather conditions improve.
