Highway 15 resurfacing starts Tuesday after pipeline rupture

Work was scheduled to start Tuesday to fix up a highway damaged by a pipeline explosion in March.

Expect one-lane traffic on a half-mile stretch of Highway 15 near Mexico the next couple weeks from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.

MoDot says Panhandle Eastern Pipeline will pay for the $140,598 project. The company’s pipeline ruptured near there. The huge explosion caused major damage to the road. No one was hurt.
