A former Mizzou student is heading to prison for seven years over a Columbia shooting.
The Missourian reports Miles Hillegas got the sentence Monday.
He pleaded guilty in October to lesser charges of second degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon for shooting a man during an argument outside Black and Gold bar on the Business Loop near Paris Road in April. He was arrested a few days after the shooting in Texas.
