Holts Summit man seriously injured in Lake accident

A Holts Summit man has serious injuries after an accident on the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Highway Patrol says Charles Phelps, 24, drove his jet ski into the path of a boat in Downing Branch Cove at 5:30 p.m. Monday. He was flown to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries.

The boat driver, 25-year-old Tyler Crocker, is also from Holts Summit. He was not hurt.
