It’s not just impeachment inquiry hearings on Capitol Hill this week.
Federal funding is scheduled to run out on Thursday. Mid-Missouri Republican Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer says another government shutdown may happen.
“I’m fearful we’re going to be stuck here over the Christmas holiday,” Luetkemeyer said to Missourinet. “The whole process and the whole atmosphere here is so toxic that it’s very difficult to get anything done.”
Luetkemeyer voted against the spending plan passed by the House on Tuesday. Now the Senate has to pass it before Thursday’s deadline.
