I-70 lane closure, other road work scheduled this week

One lane of eastbound Interstate 70 will be closed across the Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport over two nights. MoDot needs to make some repairs to pavement damaged by all the rain lately. The lane closures are from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday night and Tuesday night.

Watch for bridge maintenance in the eastbound lanes over the Missouri River in Jefferson City too, from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The Main Street entrance ramp to eastbound Highway 54 will be closed during that time.

Crews will also be doing some paving on I-70 Dr. Southeast between St. Charles Rd. and Route Z this week. Then they will be paving I-70 Dr. Northwest between Stadium Blvd. and Abilene Acres.

A utility company is upgrading crossing signals at Providence Rd. and Walnut St. in Columbia. Watch for lane closures Monday through Wednesday.
