Missouri’s governor will deliver his State of the State address on January 19 in Jefferson City. Governor Mike Parson will outline his legislative priorities that afternoon at 3 in the House chamber, before a joint session of the Legislature.
Parson tells 939 the Eagle that infrastructure, workforce development and broadband will be three of his main priorities for the session, which begins on January 5.
The governor is also expected to discuss his pay plan for state employees, during that address.
Governor Parson will request a supplemental budget in January. He’s recommending a 5.5 percent cost of living adjustment and a $15 per hour minimum base standard for all state employees.
