JC school board rejects changes to calendar

The Jefferson City school board voted Monday night not to change its calendar.

ABC 17 reports teachers wanted a change to the early dismissal schedule to add more time for professional development and planning.

Board members said they worried about the impact on students and families if there was less time in the classroom.
