JC school board votes not to change school calendar

The Jefferson City School Board decides not to make a big change to its calendar.

Members on Monday night voted not to dismiss students 70 minutes early on most Mondays, starting in the fall. In-seat learning time would have gone down about 2 percent. But there would have been more time for teacher development training.

The calendar could come up against at the next Jefferson City board of education meeting.
