JCPS board votes not to shorten teacher quarantine time

Jefferson City School Board officials reject a plan that would have allowed some quarantined teachers back in the classroom sooner.

Staffers could have gone back to school on the eighth day of their 14-day quarantine. The resolution was not approved on Monday night.

Jefferson City Public Schools has had 139 total positive COVID-19 cases since in-person classes started in August, as of Oct. 12. Six staff positives were added on Monday.
