JCPS Superintendent: ‘New high school on schedule, budget’

Jefferson City School Superintendent Larry Linthacum says it’s all part of the plan.

Capital City High School won’t be fully finished until the winter of 2020, but students will start school there in the fall of 2019.

“It will not be completed by next fall, but it will be enough to have two classes, the freshman and sophomore class, and then a final completion in January of ’20.” Linthacum said.

Linthacum says progress on both the renovations at Jefferson City High School and the new Capital City High school are on schedule and on budget.
