Why are Jefferson City students going have to deal with new school start times beginning this fall?
The district’s financial officer says it’s designed to make the bus runs more efficient.
Jason Hoffman says staggering the bus routes will save the Jefferson City schools as much as $500,000 each year.
Starting this fall, elementary schools will begin at 7:45. The middle schools will start class at 8:50, while high schools will start at 8:40.
