Jeff City Mayor talks cleanup process

Will the cost of cleaning up after this year’s flooding and tornado continue to climb?

Mayor Carrie Tergin says they’ve spent $4-million so far.

“At the same time there’s still some [spending] that’s yet to happen.”

Tergin says the costs might go up. But she adds reimbursements from FEMA and insurance coverage could positively help the totals.
