Jeff City state rep not happy with senate filibuster

Your state representative wasn’t happy with the time wasted on the filibuster this week in the senate.

Jefferson City’s Rudy Veit says the 27 hour log-jam over the GM plant funding tied up too much valuable time this late in the session.

“Maybe it needs integrity, but I don’t believe you could ever pass enough laws to totally control conduct of people.  That’s a personal responsibility we have when we’re there.”

As for the bill deeding over 116 acres of land near the Algoa Prison to Jefferson City for a potential river port, Viet is guardedly optimistic that
measure will be approved.
