Jefferson City airport terminal to be demolished

Jefferson City’s council votes Monday night to tear down the flood-damaged airport terminal.

The building has been flooded out several times over the past 50 years, But the flood damage from 2019 was too much.

The city is working with a private firm to build a new, elevated terminal building. Jefferson City airport operators would then rent space in that building.

Demolition will cost $24,000.
