Jefferson City considers term limit tweak

Jefferson City councilmen want to know if you’d approve allowing council members to run for a fifth two-year term or letting mayors serve more than two four-year terms.

“We’d put it in the hands of the voters to really make that ultimate decision,” Councilman Rick Mihalevich says. “The voters have the ultimate authority.”

Jefferson City was scheduled to hold a public hearing Monday on the potential change.
