What will the old MSP prison become?
Now that Jefferson City holds title to about 30 acres at the prison, Councilwoman Laura Ward says there are a lot of possibilities.
“A place that can handle our growing needs for conferences, and also from a historical standpoint [it can] be a destination.”
There has been talk of building a civic center at the site and even a minor league ball field if the city could attract a team.
